Fourth of July Celebrations and OOTDs

LtoR: Sweet Madisson outfit, babyGap swimsuit, babyGap romber, Target headband, JVDC crop top, Target leggings

We had such a great weekend celebrating Independence Day with our family. This year, the 4th of July was on a Saturday. Which meant, most people had Friday off. We had a big grill and chill at my husband's brother's new house. They have a built in fire pit that we utilized late at night. We set off to catch fireworks downtown but the location we scooped out had a poor visibility outcome. Either that or the fireworks show this year was disappointedly low. All in all, my kids had a great time with their little cousins. We took a ton of photos and we even went up to Door County for a day. We haven't been there in over a decade and we only live an hour away! I've forgotten how beautiful it is. I plan on making another trip there before the Summer ends. This has been a pretty humid and dry Summer so I want to make the most of it. My kids enjoy being in the water so I'll have to find some pretty beaches for them to enjoy.

Graze Box Subscription Review

4 pack snack box (2) Graze subscription

Things I've learned from eating these snacks...

I don't like raisons or dried fruit all that much.
I don't like spicy snacks.
I like the flapjacks.
I like savory snacks like the kale and edamame.

It's definitely been awhile since I've blogged (breathe, showered, brushed my teeth, etc.) but, I'm excited for the month of April so I just had to jump on and share what's been happening and what will happen in my life. These past few months into the new year has been really busy for us. My husband has been working nonstop since they acquired a client overseas. So when he gets home late from work, he can't even relieve me from the kids because he's so tired. I feel like we both have been drained out to empty shells. This has caused many sleepless nights, frustration which leads to angry fights, and a really unhealthy household. It's starting to show in our physical appearances as well. Since the weather has been warming up, I have taken the kids outside and to visit their cousins which has helped lighten up the mood and you can definitely see that they're happier kids. Which is why, when we got the invitation to join my sister inlaws for a day and night in the Dells, we didn't hesitate to say Yes! We've only visited the Dells in the summer and it was only a one day event to one of the big water parks like Noah's Ark. So this will be our first time at a resort with an indoor water park. I'm so excited and mostly for my kids. We got a 3 bedroom condo for 1 night at a resort and although it's only 1 night, it'll be enough to jumpstart our inner summer spirits into high gear!

After the Dells, we then head home for a weekend of celebrations. First on Saturday, our annual Easter egg hunt. Then, on Sunday is Easter and a graduation party for my sister inlaw who graduated with her Masters. It's a lot of family time but I don't mind because we were couped up inside all winter long. I was able to pack for my kids but I'm not sure what I'll be wearing? It's suppose to be a decent spring weekend so I might just pull out the dresses! I'll post pictures on my next post!

J.Crew Look for Less

Okay, so I've noticed that my posts have been emo as of late so let's change the mood here a bit eh?

Today, I've got a look for less for you and I hope you'll find great joy in this because I did once I found it! Here is the J. Crew crystal and pearl chandelier earrings (sold out) look for less at Sole Society and even cheaper, on eBay! I purchased the one from eBay awhile ago. I got it in less than 3 weeks and it's holding up quite well. I say that because some things I buy on eBay from China is a hit or a miss. You just have to do your research and think to yourself, "If it's not what I expected, at least it didn't cost me a lot of money!"

Failing. Falling. Feeling like a Mom.

People kept telling me that things would get better and I didn't believe them. Well, it was hard for me to see the light at the end of the tunnel in those moments where both of my kids were crying their heads off for me to hold them, I hadn't taken a bath for days because I had no time, nursing a baby all the time seemed like it was getting out of hand, and because of my time with them all day long they just wanted me all the time. I had no relief once my husband got home because he had a big project to work on. I felt bad because he would come home, eat, then play with the kids for an hour and then have to work till sometimes two in the morning. He probably felt like a chicken with it's head cut off too. Although, he seemed more put together than I did. Being a SAHM was a 24/7 job and the sad part is that no one really appreciates this other than other SAHM's!

Yes, I am glad that I get to spend time with my babies and I never miss out on a milestone but, I miss ... ME! I miss taking care of myself. It's hard to take care of myself with having two babies. I can't imagine what it'll be like if I had twins. Yes, at least I know my kids are well taken care of but, some days I just wanna ship them off the the daycare and have someone else deal with their tempers and their cries and their dirty diapers! Yes, I know my babies are well nourished because I breastfeed them but, I miss having a drink or two and not have to worry about pumping-and-dumping. I had it good for 9 years with it just being the two of us and then... it all changed. Yes, I would not change it for the universe, but in those moments where I feel like a failure to my children, I just want it to be me that I'm a failure to. My children are too great to fail for.

New Year

Anakin turned 18 months on the 7th and he has grown in just the past few days. His language is continuing to develop. He's starting to grasp the concept of things a lot better now and he is just overall a fun person to have around! I love watching this kid play all day long. He is so smart and kind. He still loves eating with his hands and boy does he love spaghetti! He loves watching his Minion movies and can reenact almost every scene from part 1 and part 2. I love that he grasps the concept of being in outer space (when Gru flies to the moon) and without anyone telling him! One day, when that scene came on, he just started turning his head and his upper body sideways and upside down like he was in outer space. It was a pretty cool and proud moment for me! He still sleeps in bed with us, mostly because we miss his presence but, he found a special spot on our king size bed. I think when Ruby came into this world and he had to quit nursing cold turkey, he had to cope somehow with not having that comfort to go to sleep. So he resorted to sleeping on his Daddy's pillow. That's his special spot and he usually falls asleep right away once he's there. I love this kid infinite!

Little Miss Ruby is quite the charmer. She's already smiling and cooing at everyone that holds her. I can tell, she's going to be a smily happy baby and a talkative one! She's usually happy but, once she's mad... watch out! She'll cry and kick and close her eyes until she feels like it. That's one thing I'll have to learn to deal with but, overall, she's one cool cat. She's so independent and already adores her brother and Father. I love shopping for her and finding outfit inspirations on Pinterest and Instagram for her. It's so fun to have a girl but also very dangerous! Everything is just so darn cute!

And while we're on the subject of outfits, here are some of her key pieces for Spring/Summer 2015.

And while we're on it, might as well do a fashion stack for Mommy too! :D
